Prominent Russian theatre director Kirill Serebrennikov has been arrested by Russian authorities. What is going on?

Serebrennikov is one of Russia's strongest voices in theatre and film against hypocrisy, corruption and the absurdity of the current regime. 

I am suspicious of the embezzlement charges and would insist all are innocent until proven guilty. A full scale arrest seems very fishy. I've no insight as what what we can do yet but hope there will be recognition of this from PEN, Amnesty and rights groups soon.
